Senior Developer (Full stack, Node.js, Angular)

Who are you?

You are either an experienced Senior or a superstar senior MEAN stack engineer on a mission*. You’re a craftsman, proud of your work and pleased to be integral in a team of equally talented peers.

Your code and the way you talk about it reflects your expertise and your passion for what you do. You have good interpersonal skills, possibly even some empathy, and you’re happy to interact with clients, to work in close nit teams and to deliver under pressure.

You’re experienced enough to ballpark a piece of work in 20 minutes and given time, you can produce robust estimates that you’re willing and able to stand behind.

You’ve probably had agency or corporate in-house experience but you often find yourself tempted to join a startup, You are comfortable in a leadership position, be positive, inspire confidence and have good judgement.

You are action oriented, outspoken and have ideas to bring to the table. You can apply commercial context to technology decisionmaking and architecture. You follow development best practice and are an expert in all or almost all the development processes outlined below.

What have you done?

You probably have some if not all the following characteristics:

• 4+ years commercial experience in OOP software development.
• Expert understanding and demonstrable experience of designing and
• implementing application/system architectures. (e.g. GoF, PoEAA, EAIP.)
• 4+ years commercial development experience in MongoDb, Express.js, Angular and Node.js.
• 4+ years commercial experience developing Application Programming Interfaces. (JSON/XML)
• Strong understanding of AWS devops environments. (Including Docker, Pusher etc. or similar)
• Strong understanding and demonstrable experience establishing and applying coding development standards and best practice.
• First class communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Outstanding coding and problem solving skills.
• Frontend development skills: HTML/HTML5/CSS/CSS3/JS etc.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (SCRUM) and full software development life cycles.
• Strong inter-personal skills.
• Commercial development experience in PHP.
• Working knowledge of common project methodologies aside from Agile. (Lean, waterfall etc.)
• Experience of development team leadership and mentoring.
• Experience working in an agency environment.
• Masters (preferably) or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
